2nd STOP: GIGANTES AND KILIKIS
Since the XVI Century there is evidence of the Comparsa de Gigantes and Cabezudos of Pamplona. In 1860 the City Council commissioned the sculptor Tadeo Amorena to make 8 Giants representing 4 continents or races: white, yellow, black and Indian-American. This court of kings, are preceded by their escort of cabezudos, kilikis and zaldikos (horses). This formation is denominated Comparsa of Giants and Cabezudos of Pamplona.
