PLACES YOU CAN VISIT

Palaces:

  • Palacio de los Condes de Guendulain: It is located â€‹â€‹in the historical part of the city. It is one of the declared of popular interest in Navarra monuments.

  • Palacio de Condestable: This historic building, located at the confluence of the streets Mayor and Jarauta,  it is the only example of civil architecture of the XVI century in Pamplona.

  • Palacio Arzobispal: The episcopal palace of Pamplona ​​is a religious palace of the  XVIII century. Its main facade overlooks the square of Santa Maria la Real.

  • Palacio de Ezpeleta: Also known as the palace of the Marquis de Aguayo is an XVIII century building located in the main street of the Old Town of the city of Pamplona.

  • Palacio de Navarra: Located next to the Plaza del Castillo, this mid-XIX building is now the most visible sign of Navarre"s historical identity.


Burlada (Uranga Park): Located in Burlada in the main street. It is a park with a gorgeous palace, modernist building.


The Citadel and Vuelta del Castillo: The green belt surrounding the former, are the green lung of and main reference point in the city. The area consists of 280,000 m2 of trees and lawns, which intermingle with a construction built between 1571 and 1645 to defend Pamplona.


The General Archive of Navarre: Re-housed in 2003 in order to accommodate stock and new additions. The new site is the renovated building of La Capitanía, an old palace whose origins probably date back to the XII century. It was the residence of the Bishops of Pamplona and the privative Monarchs of the new kingdom in the Middle Ages.

 

Caballo blanco: This is without doubt one of the most charming corners of the city - a beautiful spot beside Plaza de San José and the Cathedral. The views are considered to be the finest in the city. It was considered to be the best defensive point in the city and the most inaccessible of the entire walled complex.


Mercado Santo Domingo: The oldest market in the city, it is located in the historic city center, we find the best products of our land, tropical fruits, Cantabrian and Mediterranean fish, etc. The opening hours are Monday-Saturday from 8am to 14pm.

 

Paseo Obispo Barbazan: Between the Rincón del Caballo Blanco and the Bastion of El Redín. The vegetation and views surrounding the city accompany the visitor while they follow the line traced by this section of the walls. This section protects the most the sacred part of the city: the Archbishop’s Palace and cloister, the Barbazana Chapel and the apse of St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Taconera: Taconera park is one of the most beautiful, oldest and popular park of Pamplona. Bosquecillo St.

​

Portal de Francia: Carmen Puerta St., builded in 1553, it’s the best preserved of the walled enclosure.
