Bertiz & Bidasoa

Señorío de Bertiz is a natural park and it has a garden full of exotic species from all parts of the world and a Nature Interpretation Centre. The mixed beech forest has been the predominant forest for over 3,000 years.

Regata del Bidasoa: The Bidasoa river runs through the valleys of the Navarre Pyrenees, full of forests, greenery and water. In this area, the rural architecture remains perfectly integrated into the landscape in the form of villages , medieval palaces and towers.

 

Elgorriaga, known by lovers of fungi and mushrooms.

 

Zubieta has recovered an old mill by the river built in 1785 and converted into ecomuseo. In Donamaría it highlights the Jauregia house-tower, a typical noble tower of the fifteenth century.

 

Sunbilla, with its stone bridge with three arches.

 

Etxalar, a village of fine houses where pigeon hunting to an art rises;

 

Lesaka, where every year the traditional dancers perform on July 7th, the makil dantza on the petril the river.

An evergreen area situated in the north of Navarra, approximately 40 km from Pamplona. Perfect for the most adventurers and nature lovers. There you will be able to hike through the park or get lost in the valleys.
