The Renaissance was the most turbulent period in our history with the disappearance of the Kingdom of Navarra as an independent entity in 1512. It was a golden age for Navarrese art too, with numerous works of architecture, sculpture and painting that have been preserved.

The most emblematic monuments were erected in the 16th century, the period when the best examples of Renaissance art were created .
